Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) is a new type of engineering plastic with broad application.

This new type of engineering plastic is made by chlorination of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

CPVC is odorless and non-toxic white or light yellow loose granules or powder.

Chlorination of PVC increases the polarity and irregularity of chemical bonds, thus increases the solubility and chemical stability and improving the heat resistance, and acid, alkali, salt and oxidant corrosion resistance of the material. Chlorination of PVC also increased the mechanical properties of the material, for example,  when chlorine content increased from 56.7% to 63-69%, Vicat softening temperature increased from 72-82 °C to 90-125 °C, and the long-term use temperature can be 95 °C with the maximum temperature of 110 °C.  Among them, the performance index of CORZAN CPVC is even better.
